Neben dem gemeinsamen Forschungsprojekt untersuchen die Forscherinnen und Forscher des Instituts Themen der Politik-, Religions-, Sozial-, Kultur-, Rechtsund Wirtschaftsgeschichte, oft im Verbund mit internationalen Vorhaben und anderen Forschungseinrichtungen.
