The historiographies in Germany and Italy have been interacting and influencing each other for a long time. However, their relationships, intertwinements and differences have never been studied through exchangingm gazes.
The essays range from Early Modern history to Contemporary history, from Political history to Communication history, from Economic history to Legal history, from Gender history to Religious history.
They provide an overall picture representative of the most recent international historiographical trends and at the same time a transnational observatory useful for reflecting on the persistence or overcoming of national paradigms.
