European History Quarterly Article Prize 2024 assegnato a ricercatori ISIG
Niccolò Caramel e Massimo Rospocher sono i vincitori del Premio European History Quarterly Article Prize 2024 per il loro articolo ‘Mobility, Print and Trade in Europe: The Case of the Tesini Pedlars (17th-19th Centuries)’.
Questo il report del comitato di valutazione:
“Through a case study of print and pedlars in an Alpine valley, Caramel and Rospocher demonstrate early modern Europe’s transcultural connections. The study used 4,000 deeds relating to the Tesini’s activities in the mobilisation of books and engravings across Central Europe and traced the pedlars as they spread out across Central Europe. Evocatively written, the article presents a vivid picture of the opportunities and perils of life as a pedlar in early modern Europe as well as demonstrating the rich, multilingual archival sources relating to this social and economic history.”
